The weather and carp were against me for this mammoth session, my first 48hrs was a charity members match where we won our section thankfully after a slow start we landed three fish my partner landed a 25lb-14oz common carp, I had two fish a 16lb-8oz common folowed by a 33lb-10oz mirror.
Carp were spawning all around the lake and the hot still nights did not help, with only one day of moderate wind to assist me which thankfully came from the southwest. I managed to land six more carp they were an 11lb-12oz common, 18lb-0oz mirror, 21lb-8oz common, 21lb-8oz mirror, 22lb-10oz common and a 23lb-0oz mirror, I also lost three fish two by cut offs and one by hook pull Tench were on the menu again taking four to 6lb. |
